Moorebank Units Relocation (MUR)
Scope
The scope involved the engineering, procurement and construction of the prefabricated steel structures; including 57 buildings located in the School of Military Engineering precinct and the Mess, Pool and Fitness complex facilities.
ALLMEN was responsible for the design development, fabrication, overseas procurement and logistics management and erection of over 2,400 tonnes of structural steel.

The project included the relocation of multiple facilities from Steel Barracks including: the SME, the Land Warfare Centre, the Army Logistics Training Centre, SME multi-denominational chapel, the Area Library, and the Army History Unit/RAE Museum.
The scope also included the redevelopment of many Holsworthy Barracks facilities including elements of the 5th Brigade, an Area Mess, large gymnasium and 50m pool facility. In addition, it involved a large amount of demolition and remediation at Holsworthy Barracks.
This project involved the construction of defence facilities including 120 buildings covering an area of 270 acres with associated infrastructure, and is the largest single Australian Defence capital works project since the Second World War. In 2016 it won the Australian Construction Achievement Award by Australian Constructors Association (ACA).
